Lockren
Arnie

My musical pilgrimage began some 25+ years ago back in he days when DISCO was all the rage. A couple of buddies and myself had some junk PA gear and spun vinyl (BeeGees, Donna Summer, Village People etc) at local skating rinks and bowling alleys. Once that craze faded, my first band Silk & Steel. Since then, many local rock and country bands have come and gone. Included in that group to my recollection, TomCat, Rampage, Teaser, Talon, Kid Gypsy, Diablo, Wildcard, and now Lockren.

For a time in 1989 I quit my day job for the glamour and glory of being part of a road band based out of the Twin Cities. 6 months into that, the harsh reality set in and it was back to a day job. Over the years I have had the priviledge of working with some major acts in both the rock and country scene. Again, too many to list or remember but just to name a few are Black Oak Arkansas, The Byrds, The Grassroots, The Bay City Rollers, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Brian White, Lari White, Chely Wright, Confederate Railroad, LoneStar, the late Dottie West, Delbert McClinton, John Connelly, and just recently 2007 Nashville Star winner Angela Hacker. My goal or dream has always been to make music more than just a weekend thing and when I first heard and then met this gal out of Coggan, IA some six short years ago... instantly I saw and heard the potential. Been working with her since in various projects and now in the band Lockren. My hope is that when she (Amanda) becomes famous, she will remember some of the little people who helped her along the way LIKE ME and drag my sorry tail along with her. Thatz my story and I'm sticking to it... geez isn't that a song?
